My self

My name is Mnar Shay and my name is from  the bible and my name created by my mother. I was born in Thailand near the  border with Burma.  The  place is call Klo Pa refugee camp. When I was six months old I had to move to another camp called Thailand Mae Ra Moe refugee camp and I  grew up there. In the refugee camp we had 7 sections and each section have 500 houses. It had a river, playground, school,hospital, bridge and offices. I went to school there. The school in the refugee camp was not much beautiful. The school is made of by tree, bamboo, and the roof is leaves. The school classroom didn’t have a  computer, cafeteria bus and the student usually walked to school. I didn't have friends who spoke a  different language. We only spoke the Karen language. Every day the school starts at 8:40 Am and finishes at 3:15 Pm. The boys had to cut hair and the girls couldn’t  cut theirs. I came to the U.S on March 26 2013  11:00 Pm. Before I came to the U.S I thought it would be like having many friends speaking the  same language, not cold, and the city would be really clear no apartment houses and I would see my old friends. I also thought there would be have forrest, a lot of rivers and mountains.

Then after I arrived  in Philadelphia  I was surprised. All of my ideas are changed  and wrong. There were many people, a lot of cars and the some streets were dirty and dusty. I saw playgrounds parks, beautiful big school and large builds. It also have people speak different languages and handsome girl and boy. Then after one month or two I started school. The school was hard and my face was hot and red. Because I didn’t know anything  and I saw a lot of people and they are spoke different languages. I got a roster I looked at it but I don't know what is was? After I ate breakfast I saw one person he spoke Karen and I  got better because he helped me. In the school I had a lot of teachers  they  talked to me and helped me with many things. They all had good qualities and were intelligent. The teachers  don't hit the students here and always help students. After one year I felt better and happy because I have a lot of friends and I can talk to my teachers. Now I also felt happy because I can read and write and I also did a lot of volunteer work to help people in the community garden.Helping other people helps me too. I live with my parents and two sisters. They go to school and my  parents  work hard. They work 5 days a week. My parent feel happy because the children have good education,opportunity and good teachers. Also this country has enough food, clothes and places or new house. My parents also understand more English and job in the U.S. But sometimes my parent miss their family, friends relation and the place they were born. Because they want to see their family and they have lived far away for many years ago. If I am able to read and write and translate to my family or other people so can make my life better in the U.S. I also should have good job, have my own house, have good health and continue to  go to college, study and have good friends. In the U.S have a lot of opportunities,  good education, schools and famous colleges. So I feel happy to come to the U.S and have new good friends and teachers.

In my country many different people come from the other countries. When I was in 6 grade I saw one teacher she spoke English and she is old. She came visit our class then talked to our students. I am so happy. She is from another country. Before I came I had to leave my friends, classmates, teachers and relations. Some of my friends and I talk to everyone left in Thailand. I use phone and computer and FaceBook to talk to my friends and family or relation. In my first country I was not feel safe and we had problems. Because we didn’t  have fire stations and the fire cars to protect our country. Also yearly the rivers flooded and sometime created damage. I have a lot of freedom in the U.S. In my country I didn’t have freedom like here. In the U.S you can do many things and be what you want to be. You can go to school at 1 grade to 12 grade for free. But in my country I had to pay money. The students are in my country they had to cut their hair and wear uniform everyday. In the U.S student don't have to cut hair. In U.S you also learn a lot of things. I feel proud to come to U.S. We also have free speech, and religions. The weather in the U.S is really pretty and beautiful. In U.S when the season move to other seasons the tree look beautiful and amazing. But in my country I had three season and the one I didn’t like was the rainy season because there was  a lot of rain the streets had mud. In the U.S the season I don't like is winter because it is really cold and I always feel sleepy or want to sleep at school and house. But the in the U.S there are trees and the place is beautiful. My dream is I will go to college and drive and learn computer and computer code.

Create more Sidewalk

I think the U.S should make a special lane of the sidewalk for people using cell phones. Because a lot of people using it when something happen.

The first reason is the United States have a lot of people and they need to using the phone for talk, text, and call when something happen. The United Stated have different states and different places. Some people is family but they live for the different place and it is so far. But they using phone to talk  and text. It is become the assistant to other people and country.

The second reason in the U.S is also dangerous and people in the U.S need to using the phones to call and text. Because always become problem. Sometime when some people lose we need to call because we don't know where are they or there going. Also when someone get hurt or injury they need phone to call. so the sidewalk really important for the people who live in the U.S.

The third reason is a lot of people in United States they have different job and people speak different language. They using phones to call or text and call there foreman. Sometime the school notice information  so people using phone to listen. The also interpreter  using phones to translation  to people who don't understand English.

The U.S should make a special lane of the sidewalk for people using cell phones for the contact and to safe there self. Because the phone is help you when you get trouble.

Thankful to Teachers

         When i came to the U.S i saw the people celebrate the Thanksgiving every year. They are eat turkey whatever when their celebrate Thanksgiving. They also talk about thankful. they are eat a lot of food and the schools are also close. Before i came to the U.S i never hear Thanksgiving and study about that. I am thankful to my teacher to teach me.

             I am thankful for my teacher to teach me a lot of things. I have great teacher in my school. I have a lot of teacher each one teach different subjects. The teachers are don't hit the student. They are so lovely and amazing teacher. Teacher in U.S are great and not easy to find. The teachers are always help student about future and give their knowledge to students. We need teacher in our life to our future. I think if we don't have teacher to teach will become problem maybe. Because all country need education and the teacher important to teach.

             I am thankful to my teacher because they helping me and i understand more English also teach me how to write how to use computer and a lot of things. I am so glad because i have a lot teacher they are all great. Thank you teacher for guiding us inspiring us and making us what we are today.     

3 surprise

3 surprises

            When i come to American i am so surprises. In the united state have a lot of people beautiful build, big city, famous city and  university. So when i saw that i am so surprises and they are all amazing. Also the schools are interesting and enough. When i lived in my country i never see a lot build many different people and language. I never see snow when i lived in my country and the weather is different.

             I first time to school i so happy to using computer and understand more English and know more how to use computer. I have a lot of friends in school and different language and the languages are  i never hear before . All their make me surprise. also i seem new teacher they are all good and intelligent. I am surprise because i have friends they speak Karen  language it is become the help. Because Ii don't understand English than they translate me sometime when i need help.

               I live in U.S it is a lot of  school, collage, university, hospital and anything else they are amazing and wonderful famous. the City Hall really famous tall and big. If you coming to U.S you will see many things, somethings you never hear, see  in your life. In the U.S is really nice place but the weather is cold and when summer really hot . The weather different for my country. they are all surprises.

History is Important

         It is important to learn about history, even if the moments happened far away and to people you don't know. Because it is when tell me about fact history and i should know other country history.the history is really important because what happened in the past, date, who in the the history.also some country always have war and kill and fight and they are we should know.

         Also we study the past to understand the present. I think some story is can help our to understand more english and we understand the present to guide our future. the other thing is the history is the past and we can learn alot thing in the history. We are the sum of all the events good,bad and indifferent that have happened to us. Also some historys are make our happy, sad and anythings.

         If we read history we will know alot things in our life. If we don't know history, the became of the past don't read the history we will luse. I agreen the history is important to learn the past and what happened in the past. If we don't have our own history or country we can't explain who we are.
